The responsibilities that senior executives have for health and safety in their organisation is now clearly in the spotlight. High profile prosecutions and negative publicity are just two of the consequences of failing to ensure that effective arrangements are made for health and safety. Proposed legislation is likely to make it easier for the enforcing authorities to hold senior managers personally accountable.
The IOSH Safety for Senior Executive course highlights how to achieve direct benefits to your bottom line by managing safety effectively, how to meet your legal obligations and your strategic role in implementing risk management within your organisation.
Managing Musculoskeletal Risks
This course seeks to examine the issues of musculoskeletal disorders holistically, including making meaningful assessments of risks to employees, and putting in place control measures both to prevent injury and to minimise the impact of any back problems which develop both inside and outside work. It also considers the techniques for enouraging employees to look after their own health when carrying out tasks involving manual handling or repititive movements.
