Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007

Clock tower at Houses of Parliament A lot has been said and written about the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 - effective from 6 April 2008.

Some sources have suggested that the legislation will be an unprecedented health and safety wake-up call for companies. Others dismiss this, saying this new Act will actually result in very few cases, and will be reserved for only the highest-profile corporate failures.
