Work-related skin disease advice
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has added new information to its website covering work-related skin diseases (WRSDs).
It deals with WRSDs "in more technical depth", according to the HSE, and includes information on the causes of WRSDs, details of research and links to training tools.
Work-related skin problems are often caused or made worse by exposure to chemicals, or through having wet hands for long periods while at work. Dermatitis - also known as eczema - is by far the most common condition, but urticaria and skin cancer are also problems.
