New workplace transport case studies available

A series of new interactive workplace transport case studies have been posted on the Health and Safety Executive website.

The HSE said the case studies showed a "before and after view" of a range of workplace transport scenarios, including a narrow street, loading bays, poor paving, difficult reversing and dangerous loading.

The studies focus on how the various situations were made safer. Improvements were made mainly through a mix of better signs, lighting, road surfaces, staff training and traffic management.
