Steve Palmer – Operations and Trading Manager - Motor Telematics

Steve's career in the motor industry spans over 30 years and started as an apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician. He progressed through the ranks becoming a Workshop Controller and then a Service Manager. His final role before joining Norwich Union Risk Services, was Fleet Manager of the Co-operative Wholesale Society – North Eastern Region, a position Steve held for 14 years. Steve had responsibility for a fleet of 400 vehicles in this role.

Steve joined Norwich Union Risk Services’ Fleet Risk Adviser for the North East of England and Scotland in 2001. This role involved advising clients and underwriters on motor fleet risk management and client risk evaluation methods. Steve was appointed Operations and Trading Manager – Motor/Telematics in 2007 and manages a team of nine fleet specialists who are based around the country.
